Native Retreat | Holden, MA
A great landscape should work just as well for everyday life as it does for the ecosystem around it.
This Holden property blends established trees with layered native plantings, creating a lush landscape that feels connected to the surrounding woodland. A custom deck tucked beneath the canopy creates a quiet outdoor gathering space, while a dedicated dog run adds practical function without sacrificing the beauty of the backyard.
The result is a landscape built around how the homeowners actually live, with more habitat, more usable outdoor space, and thoughtful solutions woven naturally into the property.

“Reimagined Roots has been absolutely wonderful to work with. We have done multiple projects with them including redoing the front yard landscaping and building a gorgeous curved floating deck in the backyard. They are also doing the ongoing maintenance for the front yard landscaping. Lucy makes the design process fun, easy and collaborative. Lucy and Nate are both very easy to communicate with and show up when they say they will. They definitely go above and beyond to deliver expert results with a first-class experience. I can honestly say that not only have I absolutely loved everything they have done but the process has been so much fun! So happy I found them and I’m excited to work on more projects with them in the future! Highly recommend!” -S.S. Holden, MA
