We're hiring an experienced Landscape Maintenance Team Lead to lead our Landscape Stewardship crew caring for native gardens, edible landscapes, and pollinator habitats.
This isn't conventional lawn maintenance. Our work requires plant knowledge, thoughtful horticultural care, and a commitment to healthier, more resilient landscapes.
What You'll Do
Lead daily planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and seasonal garden care.
Identify plants, invasive species, pests, and common plant health concerns.
Organize crew assignments, train team members, and maintain high standards for quality and safety.
Communicate with clients, document site observations, and recommend improvements.
What We're Looking For
Professional horticulture, fine gardening, or landscape maintenance experience.
Strong plant identification skills and knowledge of New England plants, pruning, soil care, and seasonal maintenance.
Experience leading crews, making independent decisions, and communicating professionally.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Preferred: 2+ years of experience, knowledge of native plants and ecological practices, or Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist credentials.

We build landscapes that do more than look good. Our work combines skilled craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and practical solutions that manage water, support ecosystems, and deliver lasting value.
What You'll Do
Lead hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and drainage systems.
Oversee excavation, grading, layout, base preparation, compaction, and installation quality.
Read construction plans, coordinate materials, and organize daily crew assignments.
Train crew members, maintain safe and efficient jobsites, and communicate project progress with clients and management.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of professional hardscape or landscape construction experience.
Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, base preparation, hardscape installation, and construction plans.
Experience leading crews, operating construction equipment, and solving field challenges independently.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to perform physically demanding outdoor construction work.
Preferred: Foreman experience, proficiency with skid steers and excavators, permeable pavers, natural stone, and sustainable construction practices.

Job Type & Schedule: Flexible; we’re looking for the right person, and that’s not necessarily related to your immediate availability.
Day to day: Mondays you’re in the office. You’ll work with the leadership team to set the weekly schedule, create work orders and order materials. Tuesday - Friday you’ll get the installation crews out the door with all they need, and sometimes it may be an extra set of hands.
