What if your backyard could grow food, support wildlife, and become part of your children’s education and play?

This Douglas homestead was designed to do all three. A protected vegetable garden creates space for growing, gathering, and studying alongside an orchard, while native plantings and a bubbling stream invite frogs, pollinators, and everyday exploration. Even tiny sedum forests become landscapes for make-believe Jurassic Park adventures.

It’s a backyard built to be used, learned from, played in, and grown with a family landscape where nature is part of everyday life.
